Privacy Policy
Effective October 19, 2026. This policy explains what information Purposeify LLC, a Delaware limited liability company doing business as MRKT DEPT ("MRKT DEPT", "we", "us") collects when you use https://mrktdept.com and the MRKT DEPT service, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We store your account settings, such as your posting schedule, notification preferences and plan.
Business information you give us. Your website or product links, business and product descriptions, prices, goals, brand details and anything you type into the chat.
Photos and media you upload. Spokesperson photos, product photos and app screenshots. If you upload a photo of a person, it is used to create an AI spokesperson with that person's likeness (see section 4).
Connected social media accounts. When you connect TikTok, Instagram or another platform, the connection is made through our social media publishing partner. We receive and store an account identifier, the account name and the information needed to publish, such as post links, status and basic performance data. We read comments on your own posts in order to show them to you and, if you turn on auto-reply, to answer them. We do not receive your social media passwords.
Content we create for you. Content plans, scripts, captions, images, videos, voice audio and replies generated for your account.
Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, plan and billing history, but never your full card number.
Usage and device information. Pages you visit on our site, buttons you click, the website or campaign that referred you, your device type and approximate country. Our own analytics use a random identifier stored in your browser instead of a cookie, and we do not store your IP address in them. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors use our pages (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) and uses cookies; see section 6.
Communications. Emails or messages you send us, and whether our emails were delivered.
2. How we use your information
To provide the service: research your niche, plan, write and produce content, send it to you for review, and publish what you approve (or what is approved automatically, if you turn on auto-approve).
To reply to comments on your own posts, if you turn on auto-reply.
To bill you, prevent fraud and enforce plan limits.
To send you service messages: content ready for review, publishing problems, account and billing notices, and reports you can switch off in your email preferences.
To keep the service secure and working, fix problems and improve it, including how our site performs.
To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the photos you upload to create content for anyone else.
3. AI processing
MRKT DEPT uses AI models from third-party AI providers (see section 5) to write scripts, generate images and voices, and render videos. To do that, the relevant information (for example your business description, a script, your spokesperson photo or product photo) is sent to those providers for processing. AI output can contain mistakes, which is why posts are sent to you for review.
4. Photos of people and likeness
If you upload a photo of yourself or another person to use as a spokesperson, we use it only to create videos and images for your account. You must have that person's permission (see our Terms). You can replace the spokesperson in Settings or ask us to delete it at any time.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run MRKT DEPT, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing their service to us. These are the kinds of providers we use; a current list of the specific companies is available on request from samuel@purposeify.com.
Cloud hosting, database and storage providers: run the website and app and store account data, uploads, and generated videos and images.
Our social media publishing partner: connects your social media accounts, publishes your posts and reads and replies to comments on them.
AI model providers: write scripts, captions, content plans and comment replies, analyse reference content, and generate images and the spokesperson voice.
GPU computing providers: render your videos.
Stripe: processes payments and subscriptions (we never see or store your full card number).
Google: sign-in with your Google account.
Email delivery providers: send emails such as review requests, alerts and reports.
Microsoft Clarity: records how visitors use our website (session recordings and heatmaps) so we can improve it.
Messaging apps: deliver messages, only if you choose to connect one (such as Telegram).
When we publish to your social media accounts, the content becomes subject to those platforms' own terms and privacy policies. We may also share information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. Our own analytics use a random identifier in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. Microsoft Clarity uses cookies to measure how our pages are used; you can block these in your browser settings, and Microsoft's use of the data is described in its privacy statement.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings, we disconnect your social media accounts from our publishing partner, cancel your subscription and delete your account and its data. Copies may remain in backups, logs and our storage providers for a limited period afterwards, and we keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Posts already published to your social media accounts stay on those platforms until you remove them there.
8. Your rights and choices
See, correct or update your information in the app, or ask us for a copy of it.
Delete your account in Settings, or ask us to delete specific information.
Disconnect social media accounts at any time.
Switch off auto-approve and auto-reply, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails.
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California), you may have additional rights, such as to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, or to complain to your data protection authority. To use any of these rights, email samuel@purposeify.com; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries, including China. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
10. Security
We protect your information with access controls, encryption in transit, and by keeping social media connections with our publishing partner rather than storing your platform credentials. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at once if you think your account has been compromised.
11. Children
MRKT DEPT is a business service for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you by email or in the app if the changes are significant.
